Grungy Tilda

Hello Stampers!

I've been playing with my watercolouring lately - getting more familiar with my distress inks as it's been a while and I'm teaching a class next month.  I also had picked up the Tim Holtz 8x8 collage paper pad, so this is what came together!  I always feel like darkening my distress inking.  I like to add lots of grey and black around the edges.  So the Tim Holtz grungy look came to mind.

I am loving the fact that Spring is in the air.  My daffodils are out - I just LOVE seeing my Spring bulbs bloom!  So I was inspired to colour this little summertime Tilda.

A fairly simple card.  I didn't feel like a lot of embellishments as I used a very intricate die (which I LOVE by the way!).  So Tilda stands alone here.

Happy Stamping!

Winter Tilda

Hello Stampers!

I've made a Tilda easel card for a class I'm teaching later this month.  I wanted a vintage, Parisian, romantic theme for her.  I've used ivory cardstock and one sheet of Prima designer paper 12x12 for all the elements.  The doily die is by Cheery Lynn as well as the lace border.

The gems and roses are from Wild Orchid.  The butterfly is Fab Scraps.

European style Tilda

Hello Stampers!

Here's a little Tilda for a Copics class I'm teaching later this month.  I wanted to make something a little more "European" in style, hence the layers and elements.  I've had cheesecloth in my stash for months now - but this is the first time I've used it!

My flowers and gems are from Wild Orchid.  The clock die is Tim Holtz, and the other swirls and flourishes are Spellbinders.

This is Tilda in Ugg boots from the last release.  The postage stamp is Tim Holtz.  The ribbon is seam binding from Stampin' Up.

I've used an oval nestie and all the edges are distressed with the Prima distressing tool and Tim Holtz distress ink in Tea Dye.

Explore Tilda for Copc

Hello again!

Another creation with my new Magnolias!

This is "Explore Tilda" who I've created for the Copic challenge # 55

As always, she's stamped in Memento chocolate brown on XPress it paper.
I've used "My Mind's Eye" tickled pink 6x6 paper pad for my background papers.
I've used Spellbinders Nestabilities die to cut her out.
I've added some dewdrops for accent, but left the layout fairly simple to highlight the scene.
I've added some stickles to the grass for accent and some glaze to the magnifying glass & the hearts.

I've used the following Copics:
Shirt:  R00, R01, R02
Pants:  BG01, BG03, BG05
Hair:  E35, E31, YR20
Hearts:  R30, R32, R35
Grass:  G40, G82, G94, G99
Skin:  E11, E02, E01, E00, E000, R20

Tilda with Butterfly Dress

Happy Sunday!

I was so thrilled to get my recent shipment of Magnolias!  I just LOVE colouring these gorgeous images with my Copics.  They are adorable!!  So I think I'll be posting quite a few of them this week...

This little girl is "Tilda with Butterfly Dress"

I stamped Tilda with Memento (brown) on Copic XPress it cardstock (my favourite for Copics).
I've punched her out with an oval Spellbinders Nestability.
I've used one of my favourite designer papers - Bo Bunny Gabrielle.  One of them I've punched out with scallop oval Spellbinders Nestability die.
I've used my pearl pen to add some embellishments to the corners and included these gorgeous crocheted flowers I found on Etsy!

I've tried to keep Tilda fairly pale - which I don't usually do much with my Copics.  I've been inspired lately by Suzanne Dean's YouTube tutorials on how to colour with Copics to look like distressing ink.

I've coloured her dress in BG's (my favourite colours) to coordinate with my Gabrielle paper.  And I've used some peach tones from the paper as well.

I've used some stickles to "glitter" up the pebbles and added some glaze to the roses.

Colours used:
Dress & Bow:  BG10, BG11, BG13
Roses & Lace Trim:  R00, R01, R02
Shoes & Basket:  E55, E57, E59, W5
Leaves:  BG72, BG75, BG78
Hair:  E35, E31, YR20
Skin:  E11, E02, E01, E00, E000, R20
Socks:  W00, W0, W1
Pebbles:  W00, W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9
Outline:  W1
